I'm Dan. Father of Remi Jean. Have you ever swam in a lake and seen something shining at the bottom?  You try and try to get your breath and descent right until finally you snatch it with your fingertips and jet back up to the surface. That's Remi. She's my treasure and my motivation. Music and nature inspire me and remind of what is most important. When I hear good lyrics, I get shivers and  tear up sometimes thinking about my own life. At 30 I got a bummer diagnosis. It sorta wrecked my life. Whatever wasn't bedrock shook loose and blew away. This is me navigating tragedy and salvaging what I can. I want to find balance and beauty and write about it. Maybe things will never be exactly the way I want them, maybe they will be better than ever. The best I can do is to be open to whatever arises. I type with my eyes, and live on a ventilator set to 18 bpm.18 blessings per minute.
